NOTICE OF EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL

I HEREBY GIVE YOU NOTICE that an extraordinary meeting of the above Parish Council will be held at The Portman Hall, Shillingstone, at 7.15 pm Monday 6th October 2025.

All members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted at the meeting as set out hereunder.

THIS MEETING IS OPEN TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

1. To receive apologies for absence

2. To record any previously undisclosed declarations of interest and to consider any requests for dispensation

3. Dorset Council’s Local Plan and Transport Plan consultation:

· Presentation of Plans by council and proposed Parish Council response

Local Plan Options - Shillingstone

The newly published Local Plans for Housing include proposals for3 possible development sites in Shillingstone and for 175 homes in total:

· LA/SHIL/003a - Land east of Shillingstone – 53 homes

· LA/SHIL/003b - Land east of Shillingstone, north of Blandford Road and south of Holloway Lane – 61 homes

· LA/SHIL/003c - Land east of Shillingstone, south of A357 – 61 homes

Transport Policy 2026-2041

The newly published transport policy outlines Dorset Council’s proposals for transport priorities for the next 15 years.

This meeting has been called to allow residents to offer their views and to outline Shillingstone Parish Councils response to these proposals.
